About this position:

The Client Partner is a key agency leader and a highly visible client contact who is responsible for the overall development of strategy, client relationships, specific programs, and financial performance on all assigned accounts.

  • Proactively identifies client risks and opportunities, and manages agency teams   to effectively respond
  • Develops and drives client strategy
  • Recognized as indispensable and irreplaceable by senior-most clients
  • Ensures all agency deliverables meet the highest quality standard
  • Anticipates clients’ needs and proactively aligns agency capabilities to address
  • Creates and manages new agency capabilities
  • Leads large, integrated, and multidisciplinary agency teams
  • Recruits, retains, and inspires top-tier talent; actively coaches and mentors A-list players
  • Directly supervises 3-5 employees; ensures managers carry-out supervisory responsibilities
  • Responsible for account P&L, scope planning and oversight, meeting revenue and margin targets, and developing account plans and budget forecasts
  • Ensures adherence to client MSAs, and oversees contract negotiations
  • Qualifies leads and closes new business
  • Builds client confidence and trust, strives to exceed expectations, ensures commitments are met, and solicits input and ideas from clients.
  • Knows the client’s business, competition, customers and politics
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 15+ years of industry experience (consulting, agency, or marketing)
  • 10+ years of successfully developing senior-level (C-suite) client relationships
  • 10+ years of managing cross-functional agency teams
  • Has managed cross-functional agency teams of 10+ people
  • Has managed integrated pitches, including new business efforts
  • Has consistently launched work that is considered among the best in the category in terms of effectiveness and quality
  • Has recognized industry expertise in their respective area of focus and responsibility
  • Has established several relationships within Fortune 1000 companies, developing long-term relationships with C-suite clients
  • Has demonstrated the ability to sell and leverage the full-suite of the agency’s services
  • Self-starter/motivated person who can interact with different personalities on all levels, someone who can dig in deep, develop solutions, implement them and manage them day-to-day
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high level client presentation skills; experienced public speaker
